Joomla Releases the Latest update Joomla 3.1

The Joomla! Project has announced the release of the latest BETA version of the Joomla 3 series. Joomla 3.1 was released yesterday on the 24th April 2013. This version is the second short term support release after version 3.0.


If you’re still using Joomla 2.5.x site you do not have to upgrade if you don’t wish to as version 2.5 will still be supported into 2014.

  • Showing logs in debug console
  • JPlugin autoloadLanguage property
  • Media wiki package
  • OpenStreetMap package
  • Added triggers on save for com_config
  • Added pagination in COM_SEARCH component

Updating from Joomla 2.5


As version 2.5 is a Long Term Support release, support will be continued until Spring 2014. You as a Joomla 2.5 user will not have to migrate to Joomla 3.0 or 3.1. Once version 3.5 is released a migration to the new version is recommended.
